Guess what time it is?! Time to start Speed work (officially) for the 2012 season! Until the end of May, we'll plan on meeting at the Hike & Bike Lot on Rt. 303 (just west of Rt. 8) every Tuesday at 6:15 (for warm up) and start the workout at 6:30.
This week we'll ease into it for those who have not been enjoying some speed sessions over the winter (and add some at the end for those of us who have been doing speed sessions over the winter).
Warm up - 15 minutes easy running on the Hike & Bike beginning @ 6:15.
Beginning at 6:30 PM: 12 x 400m at "400m Cruise Interval" pace per McMillan Pacing Calculator
with 60 second rest/recovery. (Optional additional set of 4). Regroup at the starting point and jog 1-2 mile cool down.
To use the calculator - input your goal race distance and time then click "Calculate".
I know it's rather obvious, but please bring a watch!
